What's it about?

A reclusive English teacher suffering from severe obesity attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption.

Why did we pick it?

The Whale makes it almost impossible to ignore its self-destructive behaviour as it forces you to watch Brendan Fraser's Oscar-winning performance at the darkest moments but there is a sense of bittersweet heartbreak as his character still holds on to hope for those few that surround him.
