Directed by Mike Cheslik.
In pursuit of a serial killer, an FBI agent uncovers a series of occult clues that she must solve to end his terrifying killing spree.
Longlegs crawls its way deep under your skin and manifests the year's most original horror experience.
Osgood Perkins' satanic thriller has garnered a lot of anticipation thanks to strong word of mouth and a bold marketing campaign built around the secrecy surrounding its central mystery.
Although it never reached the heights of "The scariest movie that has ever been created in the history of cinema" that it would have us believe, Longlegs certainly has shocking moments and imagery crafted to stay with audiences long after the credits.
Maika Monroe shines as Agent Lee Harker whose investigative performance gives Jodie Foster's Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs a run for her money. But it's Nicholas Cage's disturbing demeanour that elevates this into the Horror Hall of Fame. His sheer commitment to the role, look and bravery to hold him back from the marketing make him a terrifying presence before he even appears on the screen.
An unnerving and disturbing film that builds such an imposing sense of dread, officially proving that the devil is in the details.
